Guira Cuckoos are very social birds. Not only do they feed in groups but also share their nests, with several females laying up to 20 eggs in one nest. It is not, however, a very harmonious arrangement and competition among the females is intense with some females ejecting their rival's eggs. In some cases, over 60% of the eggs may be lost in this way.
